Storytelling in the Wayang Entertainment Business about Makutarama Revelations
This
story tells of King Kresna disguised as Bagawan Kesawasidi, passing down the teachings of Astabrata to Raden Arjuna. This Astabrata
teaching is a leadership science left by King Sri Rama in ancient times,
so this knowledge is also called Revelation (Indonesian; Wahyu)
Makutarama.
Synopsis of the story (Javanese; Lakon) Wayang about Wahyu Makutarama
Prabu Duryadana Sends the Adipati Karna to Find Crown of Sri Rama
In the Astina Kingdom, King Duryadana was confronted by Resi Druna from
Sokalima, Adipati Karna from Awangga, Patih Sangkuni from Plasajenar, and
Raden Kartawarma from Tirtatinalang. In the outer gathering place to meet
the King (Javanese; Paseban) , other Kurawa were also seen sitting in rows
waiting for orders, including Arya Dursasana, Raden Durmagati, Raden
Srutayu, Raden Citraksa, Raden Citraksi, as well as Adipati Jayadrata and
Bambang Aswatama.
That day King Duryadana told me
that last night he dreamed of hearing a voice, whoever can get the Crown of Sri Rama, then he will become a great King
who is respected, both by friends and foes. The country he leads can
become a large and successful country in the whole world. However, King
Duryadana did not know this dream was true or false, nor did he know who
the person named Sri Rama was.
Resi Druna also told that Prabu Sri Rama was the great king incarnation of
Batara Wisnu who lived in ancient times. It is said that he managed to
kill a giant King who was very powerful and powerful at that time, named
Prabu Rahwana Dasamuka from the Alengka Kingdom. Actually, Prabu Sri Rama
was the Crown Prince of the Ayodya Kingdom. However, he handed over his
right to the throne to his younger brother who had the title Prabu Barata,
while he built a new country called the Pancawati Kingdom in the Dandaka
Forest, living with the Wanara (Indonesian; Kera atau Orang Hutan)
people.
King Duryadana was interested in hearing this and was increasingly
interested in getting the Crown of Sri Rama, for the sake of personal
glory and also the greatness of the Kingdom of Astina. However, he had
absolutely no idea where the crown could be obtained. Resi Druna replies
that he too received inspiration from the gods about this news, but what
he heard was Revelation (Indonesian; Wahyu) Makutarama, not Sri Rama
Crown. Revelation Makutarama will come down to the world through Bagawan
Kesawasidi who lives on Mount Kutarunggu.
King Duryadana hesitated to hear it. He did not know which one was true,
whether it was the Crown of Sri Rama, or Revelation Makutarama who would
descend to the world. Resi Druna suggested that King Duryadana go to Mount
Kutarunggu to confirm this. However, King Duryadana was a proud man with a
sense of prestige. He felt himself a great king who was rich, of course it
was inappropriate to come begging to an unknown priest.
Adipati Karna understood his brother-in-law's character. He also offered
to represent King Duryadana to go to Mount Kutarunggu. If what is there is
Sri Rama Crown, then he will ask nicely, if necessary buy it at a
reasonable price. However, if it was Revelation Makutarama there, then he
was willing to bring Bagawan Kesawasidi to send him directly to King
Duryadana.
King Duryadana was happy to hear that. He also gave full authority to his
brother-in-law to act violently if Bagawan Kesawasidi refused to give up
what he asked for. Adipati Karna thanked him for this trust, and he also
asked to leave to carry out his duties. Prabu Duryadana then ordered Patih
Sangkuni and the Kurawa to escort the departure of Adipati Karna, while
Resi Druna was assigned to help pray in the worship studio. After it was
enough, King Duryadana dismissed the meeting.
Bagawan Kesawasidi with Students Kadang Tunggal Bayu
Meanwhile at Mount Kutarunggu, Reverend Bagawan Kesawasidi was confronted
by the students, all of whom were Kadang Tunggal Bayu, namely Resi
Mainaka, Ditya Jajagwreka, Gajah Setubanda, Naga Kowara, Garuda Mahambira,
Macan Palguna, and Resi Anoman. Bagawan Kesawasidi asked why they wanted
to study with him, even though all six were Batara Bayu students.
Resi Mainaka as the eldest said that they had received direct orders from
Batara Bayu to study with Bagawan Kesawasidi on Mount Kutarunggu. So, they
left their respective residences and finally met at this place. Among
Kadang Tunggal Bayu, only Arya Wrekodara did not receive an order to
study, perhaps because he had received complete knowledge from Dewa
Ruci.
Bagawan Kesawasidi then asked what knowledge they wanted from him. Resi
Mainaka replies that he wants to be a wiser person; Ditya Jajagwreka
replied that he wanted to turn into a handsome man; Gajah Setubanda wanted
his body to grow stronger; Naga Kowara wants a long life so that he can
see the changing times; Garuda Mahambira wants to be rich so that he can
give alms without limits; while Macan Palguna wants to increase the magic
of (Javanese; Mandraguna, Indonesian; Tidak Ada Tandingannya).
Resi Anoman, who answered that the last one was the most different from
the others, asked Bagawan Kesawasidi to teach him the way to death.
Begawan Kesawasidi was surprised and asked why Resi Anoman asked this.
Resi Anoman replied that he was old and bored living in this world. He
longed to meet his relatives who had already died, including Resi Subali,
Narpati Sugriwa, Patih Anila, Kapi Jaya Anggada, Kapi Sweda, Kapi Anggeni,
Kapi Menda, Kapi Pramujabahu, and so on. In fact, Resi Jembawan who had
lived like him for a long time had just died and this made Resi Anoman
jealous.
Bagawan Kesawasidi said that the students' wishes can be fulfilled,
depending on how serious they are in learning. Especially for Resi Anoman,
even though he has become a priest, his soul is still a knight. For a
knight, the most important death is to die on the battlefield defending
truth and justice. Resi Anoman is happy to hear that and hopes it will
come true.
After giving advice at length, Bagawan Kesawasidi intended to go to a
worship studio to accompany him. He asked Resi Mainaka and his brothers to
be on guard outside the hermitage, lest anyone disturb his samadi. The
seven students were obedient and ready to carry out their duties.
The Kurawa Attack Kutarunggu College
After Bagawan Kesawasidi entered the worship studio, suddenly a group
from the Astina Kingdom, led by Adipati Karna and Patih Sangkuni, arrived.
The two men were greeted by Resi Mainaka and asked what their needs were.
Adipati Karna as the head of the group said that he was sent by King
Duryudana to ask Bagawan Kesawasidi to hand over the Crown of Sri
Rama.
Resi Mainaka replied that he had never heard of the teacher possessing
such an object. Adipati Karna asked instead, if so, did Bagawan Kesawasidi
keep Wahyu Makutarama? Resi Mainaka answered that it was true, but at this
time the teacher was with him and should not be disturbed. Adipati Karna
was offended to see Resi Mainaka attitude which he considered to be a
hindrance. He also insisted that he want to go in to meet directly with
Bagawan Kesawasidi. Resi Mainaka prevented it because his teacher had
ordered the students to be on guard so that no one would interfere with
his meditation.
Because he was constantly blocked, Adipati Karna also said that he had
been given the authority of King Duryudana to take Bagawan Kesawasidi by
force using force. Hearing that, Resi Anoman rushed forward to attack
Adipati Karna and his entourage. Ditya Jajagwreka, Garuda Mahambira, Naga
Kowara, Macan Palguna, and Gajah Setubanda came forward to help Resi
Anoman, while the oldest Resi Mainaka were invited to sit and observe from
a distance.
So, there was a battle between the Kurawa against the Kadang Tunggal Bayu.
Even though he is old, Resi Anoman is a former Senapati of the Wanara when
he served Prabu Sri Rama first. Although the strength of his body has
decreased, but his supernatural powers are increasing. Moreover, with the
added tantrums of Ditya Jajagwreka and the others, the Kurawa scattered in
confusion.
Adipati Karna was angry and forced to release his heirloom arrow named
Kuntadruwasa to crush the Sometimes Tunggal Bayu. This heirloom arrow is
as large as a javelin, and can only be released using the Wijayadanu Bow.
As soon as Kuntadruwasa arrow shot, the Kadang Tunggal Bayu felt
trepidation and tried to dodge. Only Resi Anoman was the only one who
dared to come forward. By deploying Aji Maundri, Resi Anoman caught the
heirloom arrow
while it was still flying in the air, then took it flying to hide behind the clouds.
Seeing his flagship heirloom being captured by the opponent, Adipati Karna
felt weak and desperate. He also withdrew Astina troops and invited them
to surround the foot of Mount Kutarunggu.
Bagawan Wibisana was Entered by the Spirit of Arya Kumbakarna
There was a priest who was hundreds of years old, named Bagawan Wibisana
in Cindramanik College (Javanese; Padepokan). He was the youngest brother
of King Rahwana Dasamuka in ancient times. Back when there was a war in
the Alengka Kingdom, Bagawan Wibisana was still named Raden Gunawan
Kuntawibisana and chose to join Prabu Sri Rama. After King Rahwana
Dasamuka died, Raden Gunawan was sworn in as the new King of Alengka, with
the title Prabu Wibisana. In order to keep his people away from the bad
influence of the Alengka Kingdom, he also moved the country's capital to
Parangkuntara, which was later named the Singgelapura Kingdom.
After being king for a long time, Prabu Wibisana then resigned and handed
over the throne to his son, Raden Bisawarna, with the title Prabu
Dentawilukrama. Prabu Wibisana also became a priest on Mount Cindramanik.
Years later, the Singgelapura Kingdom has changed Kings, but Bagawan
Wibisana is still given a long life.
Today Bagawan Wibisana is sitting in the worship studio. Suddenly he saw a
tall, dimly visible figure, dimly not, approaching him. He recognized that
the shadow was none other than the spirit of his own brother, Arya
Kumbakarna. During his first life, Prabu Rahwana Dasamuka had three
younger siblings, namely Arya Kumbakarna, Dewi Sarpakenaka, and Gunawan
Wibisana. Arya Kumbakarna and Dewi Sarpakenaka also died in the war in the
Alengka Kingdom. In that war, Arya Kumbakarna intended to defend his
homeland from enemy attacks, not to defend his angry brother. However, for
some reason, until now he has had difficulty entering the Swargaloka
(Indonesian; Surga) realm as he once dreamed of. What happened was quite
the opposite, until now he was still a wandering spirit lost in the mortal
world. In fact, he used to have the belief that if he died in battle, the
spirit would enter heaven and be served by the angels.
Bagawan Wibisana explained that Arya Kumbakarna until now became a
wandering spirit because during his life his heart was doubled. Although
Arya Kumbakarna fought for the sake of the country, intending to defend
the homeland, but his actions were actually against the Truth. Prabu Sri
Rama is the incarnation of Batara Wisnu who came down to the world to
eradicate the wrath of King Rahwana Dasamuka. Arya Kumbakarna clearly knew
this but chose to sleep without making a definite attitude. Until finally,
when the great war broke out, he was awakened by Prabu Rahwana Dasamuka
from his long sleep to become a Senapati (Indonesian; Pemimpin Pasukan).
At that time, Arya Kumbakarna had refused, but Prabu Rahwana Dasamuka was
cunning, taking his two sons, Raden Kumbakumba and Raden Aswanikumba,
hostage. That's what made Arya Kumbakarna hesitate and finally agreed to
become a Senapati.
So, Arya Kumbakarna went to war with a double heart. Although on his lips
he claimed to be fighting for the sake of defending the country, but in
his heart he was fighting for the safety of his children. Despite the
slogan not defending King Rahwana Dasamuka, Arya Kumbakarna hands were
still stained with the blood of the Wanara who fought against the wrath of
anger. Until finally, he died at the hands of Prabu Sri Rama and became a
wandering spirit because he could not enter the Kaswargan (Swargaloka)
realm.
Arya Kumbakarna was horrified to hear this explanation and realized his
mistake. He also asked his brother for help to free himself from worldly
misguidance. Bagawan Wibisana replied that he could only help show the way
for his brother to perfect himself, not open the door of Swargaloka.
According to the inspiration he received, in this era there live five
Pandawa warriors who always defend the truth and uphold justice. Later
they will clean the wrath of anger from the face of the earth through the
Bratayuda War. Arya Kumbakarna should unite in soul with the number two
Pandawa, named Arya Wrekodara. This is the way to atone for the sins of
the past. In this way, Arya Kumbakarna will join in the struggle to quell
the wrath of anger, so that in the future he can ascend to Swargaloka
together with Arya Wrekodara. That is the path of liberation that must be
taken by the brother to be able to escape from worldly misguidance.
Arya Kumbakarna was happy to hear his sister's explanation and prepared to
go to find Arya Wrekodara. Begawan Wibisana advised Arya Kumbakarna to
intercept and challenge Arya Wrekodara war while passing through Duryasa
Forest. The characteristics of Arya Wrekodara are big and tall, and wear
clothes similar to Resi Anoman, namely the white Wanara who once burned
the Alengka Kingdom. Arya Kumbakarna accepted the suggestion and
immediately asked to leave right now.
Bagawan Wibisana Leaves the Mortal World
After his brother's spirit left, Bagawan Wibisana felt that his life would
not be long. His blood flow began to slow down, sometimes there, sometimes
not. His conscience whispered that all his duties in the world had been
completed. So, to be able to pick up death perfectly, Bagawan Wibisana
also shared a moment of silence, letting go of all kinds of worldly
attachments. From his body suddenly emanated four kinds of light, namely
red, black, yellow, and white light. These four lights are the embodiment
of the four passions that have been helping him in living his life.
The four passions took the form of giants, each of which was named Ditya
Rekta, Ditya Kresna, Ditya Pita, and Ditya Seta. They asked why they had
been removed, not invited to go up to Swargaloka. In fact, they have been
the driving force and source of enthusiasm for Bagawan Wibisana in living
life. Joy, sorrow, anger, love, hate, hunger, thirst, sleepiness, and
pride, as well as the zest for life, all come from these four passions.
Bagawan Wibisana, a saint, has always adhered to his conscience so that he
can control his passions, instead of being controlled by passions like
most other humans. If the body is like a chariot, then the four passions
are the pulling horses. Bagawan Wibisana during his life was able to make
the mind a good coachman, who obeyed the commands of conscience, so that
the mind was able to direct the horse on the right path.
Bagawan Wibisana also explained that they should not be removed, but
should seek a means of treatment. The four passions are devices of the
body, not devices of the spirit. The body comes from nature, so it must
return to nature by being buried or burned. Meanwhile, lust should also be
able to return to nature through healing. Bagawan Wibisana did not want
himself to die like Arya Kumbakarna, whose spirit was still filled with
lust.
The four giant embodiments of lust also asked who could take care of them.
Bagawan Wibisana suggested that the four of them go to Duryasa Forest to
meet the Panengah Pandawa knight named Raden Arjuna, who is the
half-incarnation of Batara Wisnu. He is the one who can take care of the
four giants. The four giants were happy to hear that and immediately asked
to leave the Cindramanik College.
Raden Arjuna Takes Care of the Four Giants
Thus, the four giant incarnations of Bagawan Wibisana lust arrived at
Duryasa Forest and saw Raden (English; Lord) Arjuna walking accompanied by
the four Panakawan ; Kyai Semar, Nala Gareng, Petruk and Bagong. The four
giants stopped and asked to be treated so that they could return to being
part of the universe. Raden Arjuna refused and said he could not. The four
giants simultaneously attacked together to provoke Raden Arjuna
action.
So, a battle ensued in which Raden Arjuna alone was attacked by the four
giants. Every time one of the giants was killed, it suddenly came back to
life, as if they couldn't die. Seeing that, Kyai Semar stepped forward to
give advice. He explained that these four giants were spirits, so they had
to be dealt with in a subtle way as well.
Raden Arjuna understands. He put down his weapon and held a moment of
silence, controlling his breathing. All desires are forgotten, there are
only feelings of gratitude and sincerity, dissolved in God's will. From
his body then came a light that burned the four giants. The four giants
then disappeared without a trace, returning to become part of the
universe.
After the enemy was defeated, Raden Arjuna continued his journey with the
Panakawan. The place he went to was Mount Kutarunggu College to receive
the divine gift, named Wahyu Makutarama.
Raden Arjuna Arrives at Mount Kutarunggu
Raden Arjuna who was walking accompanied by the panakawan finally arrived
at Mount Kutarunggu. By deploying Aji Panglimunan, they managed to get
past the Kurawa who were besieging at the foot of the Mountain.
Resi Anoman who recognized them immediately came to greet them with great
manners. Raden Arjuna said that he wanted to meet and study with Begawan
Kesawasidi. Resi Anoman also explained that the teacher was currently with
him and could not be disturbed. It turned out that Raden Arjuna was
willing to sit and wait in front of the hermitage. Resi Anoman was
impressed to hear that. It turned out that Raden Arjuna attitude was very
polite, unlike Adipati Karna and the Kurawa who relied on violence.
Thus, it has been three days since Raden Arjuna sat patiently in front of
Kutarunggu College (Javanese; Padepokan). On that day Bagawan Kesawasidi
ended the meditation (Javanese; Samadi) and left the worship studio. Resi
Anoman also appeared and told everything that had happened while Bagawan
Kesawasidi was together in three days and three nights. He told that
Adipati (Duke) Karna and the Kurawa forced to meet until a battle broke
out. In that battle, Resi Anoman managed to seize Kuntadruwasa arrow and
now he wants to present it to Bagawan Kesawasidi.
Bagawan Kesawasidi refused Resi Anoman offering because he did not need a
weapon. Resi Anoman also asked Bagawan Kesawasidi to hand over the
heirloom to Raden Arjuna only. However, Bagawan Kesawasidi still objected
because it was tantamount to demeaning Raden Arjuna chivalry. If the
heirloom was handed over, Raden Arjuna would definitely refuse, because
Kuntadruwasa was obtained by seizing the enemy's property.
Resi Anoman is feeling confused. He could not hand over the Kuntadruwasa
Arrow to Bagawan Kesawasidi, but was also ashamed to return it to Adipati
Karna. Bagawan Kesawasidi understood his student's feelings. He also
invited Resi Anoman to leave the heirloom to him, later let him return it
to Adipati Karna. Resi Anoman was happy and then handed the heirloom arrow
to the teacher.
Bagawan Kesawasidi then mentioned Resi Anoman second mistake, namely that
his words did not match his actions. Wasn't Resi Anoman pleading to be
shown the way of death? However, when Kuntadruwasa Arrow is fired, why
does it catch with the hand instead of receiving it with the chest?
Because Resi Anoman had squandered the opportunity to die a chivalrous
death, he had to postpone his own death for the next hundred years. Resi
Anoman had to stay alive in the world for another century, until the time
came for him to die after marrying the sixth descendant of Raden
Arjuna.
Resi Anoman is very sorry but everything has happened. He was also
grateful for the teacher's instructions, then introduced Raden Arjuna who
was behind him. After that, Resi Anoman asked to leave to gather with the
other Kadang Tunggal Bayu.
Bagawan Kesawasidi Revealed Makutarama Revelation to Raden Arjuna
After getting acquainted with each other, Bagawan Kesawasidi also
explained that he had the idea to send Revelation (Javanese; Wahyu)
Makutarama to Raden Arjuna. In fact, this Revelation took the form of a
leadership science lesson called Astabrata, which was once taught by Prabu
Sri Rama when he inaugurated Prabu Wibisana as king of Singgelapura. Asta
means "Eight", while Brata means "Action". It means. That is, this
leadership science imitates the actions of eight types of natural objects.
After Raden Arjuna said he was ready, Bagawan Kesawasidi began his
teaching :
First, as a leader, Raden Arjuna should imitate the actions of the
sun.
The sun radiates heat and light to illuminate the earth, being the source
of life for humans, animals and plants. On the other hand, the sun sucks
the sea water slowly without feeling it. Thus, a leader should be able to
be a source of enthusiasm for his people. A good leader always pays
attention to the needs of the people, becomes a source of strength for the
people, but collecting taxes does not make the people feel burdened.
The second example is the moon
Which is a celestial body that is a source of lighting at night. Even
though it is bright, the moonlight does not dazzle the eyes. The shape
also changes so it's not boring.
Precisely this changing form can be used by humans to create
calendars. Thus, a leader should be able to be a light for his people in times of
darkness. Leaders must be able to provide consolation when their people
are hit by disaster, instead of frightening them with various kinds of
threats. A good leader must look pleasing in front of the people, so that
the people respect themselves, not out of fear. Leaders may change
decisions, as long as it is for the welfare of the people, not for their
own ego. Because in this world nothing remains unchanged, except change
itself.
The third example is the stars scattered in the sky
Clusters of stars can be a guide to determine the direction and also the
change of seasons. In addition, stars also decorate the sky at night.
Thus, a leader should be able to guide the goodness of his people. A
leader must be able to be an example and be a determinant of policy
direction for his people. In addition, leaders must also be able to
organize the beauty of their country. Development is not only a matter of
how to construct buildings, but also how to organize and manage the
usefulness and beauty of each building so that they do not overlap each
other randomly.
The fourth example is the earth
Which is solid and holy. In addition, the earth is also fair. What is
planted is what is harvested. Thus, a leader should be strong in heart,
not easily discouraged, not easily provoked, always enthusiastic. In
addition, a leader must also have a holy character, meaning that he is
able to maintain his own honor. Good leaders are not easily bought with
bribes for the benefit of a few sycophants. A leader who is easily shaken
and not strong, also who cannot maintain his honor, then he will surely
lose the respect of his people. In addition, leaders must also be fair in
character, able to provide rewards that are in accordance with what the
people are trying to do. Leaders must give gifts according to the level of
service of their respective people, not to cause envy because there are
people who excel but feel unappreciated.
The fifth example is the cloud
(Cloud; Javanese; Mega). Which is scary, but brings coolness and rain.
This mega cloud has to do with the sun. If the sun is too hot, then the
mega clouds are obscuring. If the sun sucks the sea water, then the mega
clouds that spread it in the form of rain. Thus a leader must appear as
scary as a cloud, but bring coolness and also provide protection. Creepy
here does not mean putting on a cruel and violent face, but it should be
able to maintain dignity in front of the people or in front of foreign
countries. A good and authoritative leader will be respected by his own
people and also proud in front of foreign countries. However, behind his
authority, the leader must also be able to provide coolness and protection
to his people.
The sixth example is the wind
The nature of the wind is always moving to fill the empty space. In
addition, the wind also spreads clouds containing a collection of water
vapor in all directions to then be melted into rain drops. Thus, Raden
Arjuna should be a leader and should not discriminate between his people.
A leader must be able to embrace all his people from various circles and
various levels of society, even though the people like it or not. By
always being close to the people, the prosperity of the country will be
easier to achieve. In addition, leaders must also be able to spread the
results of tax collection for development costs evenly. Development should
not only be carried out in certain cities, but the people who live in
remote areas must also feel the pleasures of development. Such is the
nature of the wind that always fills the empty space.
The seventh example is fire
The nature of fire is to burn indiscriminately. There is a term, a small
fire becomes a friend, a big fire becomes a villain. The small fire here
means that Raden Arjuna must be able to imitate the nature of fire in an
effort to enforce state law. Anyone who is guilty must be punished
according to the applicable provisions. Good law enforcement will increase
the authority of the leader, and also provide a sense of security and
comfort for the people. Certainty of legal guarantees can also invite
foreign countries to participate in investing in the country, of course,
for the welfare of the people as well. As for what is meant by a big fire,
a leader must act maliciously against attacks from outsiders who threaten
the peace of the country. A leader must have the character of fire in
igniting and burning enemies who come to attack.
The eighth example is water
The nature of water is both refreshing and patient. The water that drips
little by little can create holes in the rock. In addition, the water if
it has gathered will become a vast ocean that accommodates all objects
that enter it. Thus should Raden Arjuna imitate the nature of water. A
leader must be patient, not in a hurry, not in a hurry. Sometimes it flows
down, sometimes it gushes up, as needed. A leader must have a heart as
wide as the ocean, which must be willing to accept anything from his
people. A good leader does not only expect praise, but must be ready to be
criticized by his own people. Because criticism is actually advice that is
conveyed in a rude way but can be a guide for making improvements.
Such is the description of the contents of Astabrata teachings. Raden
Arjuna asked why he received this teaching, not his eldest brother, namely
Prabu Puntadewa. Bagawan Kesawasidi replied, it was because the
descendants of King Puntadewa would stop after the Bratayuda War, while
the descendants of Raden Arjuna would continue and become heirs to the
throne. Raden Arjuna did not become King, but later his descendants would
become Kings of the Land of Java. Raden Arjuna should later pass the
knowledge of Astabrata to his descendants who succeeded in becoming Kings,
replacing King Puntadewa.
Raden Arjuna was grateful to hear that. Bagawan Kesawasidi then asked him
for help to return the Kuntadruwasa Arrow to Adipati Karna, which had been
seized by Resi Anoman three days ago in the war. Raden Arjuna is ready. He
then thanked Bagawan Kesawasidi and asked to leave Mount Kutarunggu.
After Raden Arjuna left, Bagawan Kesawasidi returned to his original form,
namely Prabu Kresna Wasudewa, the King of Dwarawati. That's what happened.
Some time ago Prabu Kresna dreamed of meeting his late teacher, namely
Resi Padmanaba who ordered him to teach the science of Astabrata to Raden
Arjuna. This leadership knowledge was acquired by Prabu Kresna when he was
still named Raden Narayana, who studied with Resi Padmanaba, who is a
descendant of Batara Wisnu.
Raden Arjuna Meets Adipati Karna
Raden Arjuna and the panakawan who had left Kutarunggu College met with
Adipati Karna with Patih Sangkuni and the Kurawa who were still besieging
at the foot of the mountain. While ascending earlier, Raden Arjuna had
deliberately slipped, but now when he descends the Mountain he appears
because he has the task of returning Kuntadruwasa arrows as well.
Adipati Karna and Raden Arjuna exchanged greetings. Then Raden Arjuna
handed Kuntadruwasa arrow to his half-brother. Adipati Karna was surprised
and asked why his heirloom could be with his brother, even though a few
days ago Resi Anoman had taken it. Raden Arjuna also told the story as it
was from beginning to end, where he had received Wahyu Makutarama, and was
entrusted with Begawan Kesawasidi to return Kuntadruwasa Arrow to Adipati
Karna.
Adipati Karna was very happy to get his heirloom back. He thanked Raden
Arjuna and also congratulated his younger brother on the success of
getting Wahyu Makutarama. Raden Arjuna then asked to leave to continue the
journey back to the Madukara Knights. Adipati (Duke) Karna agreed and they
parted ways.
After Raden Arjuna left, Patih Sangkuni suddenly insinuated that Adipati
Karna had forgotten his duty only because it was hindered by a sense of
brotherhood. Adipati Karna should not have let Raden Arjuna go, but seized
Wahyu Makutarama to be handed over to King Duryudana. Adipati Karna was
consumed by Patih Sangkuni incitement. He also went after Raden
Arjuna.
Raden Arjuna was surprised to see Adipati Karna he came after and asked
that Wahyu Makutarama be handed over to him. Of course Raden Arjuna could
not do that, because Wahyu Makutarama was not something that could be
moved. Adipati Karna didn't believe it and he was willing to pay whatever
his brother asked for. Raden Arjuna replied that he was not a trader and
could not trade revelation. Adipati Karna then asked to be given only half
of it, if indeed Raden Arjuna could not give it all away. This statement
immediately became the laughing stock of the panakawan, because revelation
is not food that can be divided into two.
Adipati Karna was offended and used violence to seize Wahyu Makutarama.
Raden Arjuna was forced to face his brother. After experiencing many
difficult events, Raden Arjuna's magical knowledge advanced rapidly.
Adipati Karna was forced to lose. When he was about to use Kuntadruwasa
arrow, he remembered that his heirloom arrow had just been returned by
Raden Arjuna. However, Adipati Karna still holds the values of chivalry,
of course it would be very humiliating if he repays his brother's kindness
by shooting Kuntadruwasa arrows at him. Thinking so, he chose to leave
Raden Arjuna.
Dewi Sumbadra is Told to Dressed as Become a Man
Meanwhile, Raden Arjuna main wife, Dewi Sumbadra, was on her way to find
out where her husband had gone. Suddenly from the sky, Batara Narada flew
down and stopped his footsteps.
Batara Narada was embarrassed to see Dewi Sumbadra walking alone without a
bodyguard to look for Raden Arjuna. However, Dewi Sumbadra did not like to
be pitied and answered in an innocent manner. Batara Narada felt guilty as
a god who was treated like that. However, he realized that the woman
himself. Finally, with great difficulty, he managed to make Dewi Sumbadra
to be dressed as a man. In the form of a woman, Dewi Sumbadra will easily
become the target of evil men who want to interfere. However, in male
form, he would be safer walking alone without a bodyguard.
Dewi Sumbadra finally. Batara Narada was also active in his supernatural
powers, and became in the form of Dewi Sumbadra and immediately turned
into a man. He was also given a new name, namely Bambang Sintawaka. After
feeling enough, Batara Narada withdrew back to Kahyangan Sidik
Pangudaludal, while Bambang Sintawaka continued his journey.
Raden Arjuna Competes with Bambang Sintawaka
Adipati Karna then met Bambang Sintawaka who claimed to be looking for
Raden Arjuna because he had a personal grudge. Adipati Karna felt
coincidental and immediately asked the young man for help against Raden
Arjuna. He is willing to give a big prize if Bambang Sintawaka is able to
beat Raden Arjuna for him. Bambang Sintawaka willingly agreed. Adipati
Karna then showed his place and the young man went forward to attack Raden
Arjuna.
Raden Arjuna was surprised because suddenly a handsome young man appeared
to attack him. Then they fought fiercely. Even though her appearance has
changed, Raden Arjuna could smell Dewi Sumbadra body odor. So, he realized
that Bambang Sintawaka was none other than the incarnation of his own
wife.
Raden Arjuna then stopped the fight and used seduction techniques to melt
Bambang Sintawaka heart. From a distance, Adipati Karna was surprised,
thinking that Raden Arjuna had suffered from a disorder because he seduced
fellow men. He also heard Raden Arjuna calling his opponent "mother of the
foreskin", making Bambang Sintawaka unable to hold on anymore. His
disguise was revealed, and he returned to the form of Dewi Sumbadra.
However, Dewi Sumbadra did not want to be touched by her husband. He felt
neglected, often left to wander alone. Raden Arjuna understands that his
wife is just pretending and wants to be pampered. So, he added all kinds
of seduction moves to Dewi Sumbadra.
It was at that time that King Kresna appeared. Dewi Sumbadra again
pretended to ask her brother to take care of the divorce between herself
and Raden Arjuna. Prabu (King) Kresna laughed not responding seriously
because he already knew his brother's character. He also advised Raden
Arjuna to be smarter in dividing his time between doing his duty as a
knight, and also the task of being the head of the household.
Meanwhile, Adipati Karna who was still lurking was disappointed to see
Prabu Kresna appear. Patih Sangkuni came after and again instigated
Adipati Karna to come forward to seize Wahyu Makutarama. Adipati Karna was
not willing, because in this world he was very shy and afraid of King
Kresna. For this reason, he chose to retreat and report the truth to King
Duryodana. Patih Sangkuni felt that he had no other choice and he also
withdrew with Adipati Karna as the head of the group.
Arya Kumbakarna United Body and Soul with Arya Wrekodara
Arya Wrekodara who was on his way through the Duryasa Forest suddenly met
a large tall giant who was faintly visible. The giant claimed to be named
Arya Kumbakarna who wanted to challenge Arya Wrekodara to a fight. Arya
Wrekodara did not want to take up the challenge because he felt that he
had no grudge with Arya Kumbakarna, whom he did not know at all.
Arya Kumbakarna didn't want to waste his chance. He was the first to
attack. Due to being suddenly attacked, Arya Wrekodara was forced to face.
The two are fighting both are fighting for strength. However, the one with
the rough body, the other with the smooth body, of course Arya Wrekodara
felt overwhelmed by Arya Kumbakarna.
At that time, Prabu Kresna appeared with Raden Arjuna, Dewi Sumbadra, and
also the panakawans. Prabu Kresna then gave instructions on how to defeat
the wandering spirits. Arya Wrekodara understood and immediately took a
moment of silence while reciting the healing spell. Instantly Arya
Kumbakarna form was destroyed, turned into smoke, then penetrated into
Arya Wrekodara chest.
Because he was possessed by a giant spirit, Arya Wrekodara was horrified.
Kyai Semar, who was broad-minded, immediately explained that Arya
Kumbakarna was not an arbitrary giant, but the younger brother of Prabu
Rahwana Dasamuka, the king of Alengka in ancient times. In contrast to his
brother who was angry and angry, Arya Kumbakarna was virtuous and
respected the character of a knight. However, because he was involved in
hindering the struggle of King Sri Rama in quelling the wrath of anger,
Arya Kumbakarna became a wandering spirit and was unable to enter
Swargaloka. Therefore, he chose to merge into one soul with Arya
Wrekodara, so that one day he could enter the Kaswargan world
together.
Arya Wrekodara was afraid that Arya Kumbakarna would affect his mind. Kyai
Semar said there was no need to be afraid, because this union only added
to Arya Wrekodara strength and magic, not affecting his soul. Arya
Wrekodara understood and felt that his strength had indeed increased after
Arya Kumbakarna spirit united with him.
Prabu Kresna then asked if there was a need for Arya Wrekodara to walk
alone. Arya Wrekodara replied that he was sent by Prabu Puntadewa the
eldest brother to find Raden Arjuna and Dewi Sumbadra who disappeared from
the Madukara Knights. Unable to find him, he went to the Dwarawati Kingdom
to ask for directions. However, it turns out that Prabu Kresna has also
long disappeared from the palace. The three empresses, namely Dewi
Jembawati, Dewi Rukmini, and Dewi Setyaboma instead asked for help so that
Arya Wrekodara would help find out where their husbands were.
Unexpectedly, the three people he was looking for turned out to be walking
together in this Duryasa Forest.
Kyai Semar and Raden Arjuna actually realized that Prabu Kresna
disappeared from the Dwarawati Kingdom to disguise himself as Begawan
Kesawasidi and open a hermitage on Mount Kutarunggu. However, they felt
there was no need to reveal this. It seemed that Prabu Kresna was grateful
for Arya Wrekodara attention, then they together returned to the Dwarawati
Kingdom.
